Opalisko is located in the Low Tatras above the village Závažná Poruba, at the foot of Poludnica, 7 km southeast of Liptovský Mikuláš. The total length of the ski slopes in the resort is 3.2 km. Opalisko offers two red slopes: Galička (1560 m) and Stará (900 m); and three blue slopes: Fajka (400 m), Kücbiel (300 m) and Detská (60 m). The slopes are served by a 2-chair lift (length 753 m, vertical drop 214 m) and four ski lifts. The resort has a children's area with a tobogganing and snowtubing track and a natural ice rink, a ski school and nursery, a snowboard school and nursery, a service and sports equipment rental. Refreshments can be taken in the cafeteria on the slope or in the two restaurants. There are also cross-country ski trails of 15 km, 7.5 km, 5 km, 2 km and 1 km with lighting.
As soon as you open your eyes, there are plenty of tourist activities and attractions within a stone's throw.
