If you are looking for a hiking tip, we would like to recommend climbing the Poludnica hill. Poludnica with a height of 1,547 metres is the highest mountain in the Low Tatras. It is located close to our accommodation, so you don't have to worry about a long drive. This hike is suitable for moderately demanding hikers and will reward you with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The ascent to Poludnica starts in the village of Liptovská Lúžna, where you can leave your car in the parking lot. From there you will follow the green marked hiking trail that leads through the forest and gradually climbs to the top. The path is well marked, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. During the climb you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. At the top of Poludnica you will find a cross and a memorial plaque, which reminds you of the importance of this place for the Slovaks. After a well-deserved rest and admiring the views, you can return the same way or continue on other hikes in the surroundings. We also recommend visiting the nearby Jasná ski resort, where you will find plenty of fun and adrenaline.
